Founded by Ben Abbott in 1949, this young entrepreneur started his business with kitchen gadgets created in the UK. Ben thrived on importing these products and attending events to show his customers exactly how they worked. In 1960 Abbott became a industry leader in giftware as a wholesaler of British products. Abbott expanded his business in the 60's, opening a plaster factory in Toronto. Ben passed the company down to his son, David Abbott in 1971, David is still the current president.
In 2001, Abbott moved to a larger location in Toronto to accommodate its growing success. Today Abbott remains a award-winning industry leader and valued resource for retailers throughout North America.
